The Holt Hometown Festival is a yearly event that is known for its family friendly activities, parade and spectacular fireworks.
The 2017 version will incorporate Delhi Township’s 175th Anniversary of being chartered by the state Legislature, and will include some newly expanded events, like the Hot Rods and Hogs car show and contest and local business exhibitor booths.
Of course vendors and a kids’ area with inflatables and the popular Touch-a-Truck® event will return, along with live entertainment all day and up until the fireworks show.
Started as a local business showcase in the Holt Plaza parking lot 18 years ago, the Hometown Festival has blossomed into a community event with participation from businesses and organizations throughout Holt.
Festival Director Chuck Grinnell said sponsorship opportunities range from $50 to $1,500 and up. A business or personal contributor can be listed on high-visibility road banners, participate in the parade with a float or banner, advertise in the TV-47 campaign, or be a vendor on the day of the festival.
Applications and more information can be found at www.holthometownfestival.com. Contact Chuck Grinnell at (517) 930-2655 or Lori Underhill at the Delhi DDA at (517) 699-3866 with questions about getting involved in the fun this year.
The main day of the festival will be August 19, but local businesses have been encouraged to join in the fun for the entire weekend.
